Light and Shadow
photographyvisual-artlight
A photographic study of contrast and the emotion it carries.
Photography taught me that shadow is not the absence of subject — it is part of the subject. A face half in darkness says something that a fully lit face cannot.
I spent a year shooting exclusively in low light. Not for the aesthetic, but as a discipline. It forced me to think about what I was actually trying to capture.
The result was a series of images that felt more alive than anything I had made before — because they contained uncertainty. You had to lean in.
